Are you looking for a Mother’s Day writing activity for your students? Well, last month, I created these ADORABLE brunch themed Mother’s Day Writing Activities. I cannot begin to tell you how much I LOVE these breakfast themed writing cards for Mother’s Day.
You DEFINETELY want your students to use these writing activities as they are filled with puns!! Some of the puns include:
- You GUAC my world!
- You are EGG-cellent at…
- I love you BERRY much
- I can’t live with-OAT you
- You mean a LATTE to me
Your students will LOVE making this for their mothers, grandmas, aunts, step-moms, or that special someone in their life! The best part? There are SO many options to choose from that these writing activities can even be used for Father’s Day or even Grandparent’s Day!!
This writing activity would work best for students in grades K-3. However, I did include non-smiley clipart options if you think your upper elementary students would enjoy doing this! As an added bonus, I also included a digital writing option of this activity via Google Slides. These slides are bright, colorful, and include both smiley and non-smiley clipart options. With the digital writing option, students can insert images and text boxes to personalize the slides. Check it out HERE!
Please note: I also purposely did not write mom or dad anywhere on this resource. As educators, we know our students have different family backgrounds. Some students may use this for aunts, uncles, sisters, brothers, step-parents, etc.
Again, be sure to check out these adorable Mother’s Day Writing Activities on my Teachers Pay Teachers Store! Don’t forget: This year, Mother’s Day is on May 9th, 2021.
Before I forget!! If you are preparing for the end of the school year, you DEFINETELY want to check out this blog post.
