Hi everyone! I realized that I created a ton of different literacy centers that focus on beginning sounds and letters of the alphabet! I wanted to share with you all some of my favorite literacy centers that hopefully you can use in your classroom too! These centers are great for little learners- from pre-school to first grade!
Alphabet Mitten Letter Mats
This is an excellent way to get your students ( or little ones) to practice letter formation with these adorable alphabet mitten letter mats. All you need is play dough or modeling clay. My three year old LOVES it! We simply put the alphabet mat on the table and take out our play-doh. He has so much fun practicing his uppercase and lowercase letters with these mats. This is excellent fine motor practice as well. This activity makes him manipulate the play-doh into letters of the alphabet!

For example, students will look see the Dd card and look for a picture that starts with /d/. Have your student look at the card, say the sound aloud, and then match it with its picture pair. This will allow your student to build their letter/sound fluency. This makes a fun literacy center or additional independent practice. There are 58 mitten cards included!
